The Nebraska Walk to Emmaus board would like to invite all 4th Day to attend Lay Director’s training on March 27th, 9:30am, at the United Methodist Church in Minden, NE. This training is open to all 4th Day, even if you are not scheduled to be a Lay Director. This training is Emmaus Handbook based and covers responsibilities of the positions during the weekend (Table Leader, Assistant Table Leader, Assistant Lay Director, Lay Director, Spiritual and Assistant Spiritual Directors), and the interaction between the Assistant Lay Directors and the support teams. This training is relevant for all 4th Day because it covers the importance of anonymous and progressive servanthood and what it means. This training is being conducted by Marv Dorsey from Plattsmouth, NE, and it will last approximately 3 hours. Marv is a certified trainer from the Upper Room. Bring your questions and plan to have lunch with us. Please RSVP to Mary Schukar if you plan to attend by email at mjschukar@rcom-ne.com, or phone at 308/832-0764. We would like to see you there.

What is the Walk to Emmaus?
The Walk to Emmaus is a transformational three-day program open to members of any denomination, designed to strengthen the faith of Christian people and, through their discipleship, to strengthen their families, their congregations, and the world in which they live. Emmaus is a partnership between lay and clergy for the renewal of the church. The 72 hour program focuses on discovering the abundance of God's grace in our own lives and learning to live in that grace fully, while sharing that grace with others.
